Cheese rolling races in Gloucester...Basically, people race down a very very steep hill in the English countryside, breaking bones along the way, in order to catch an impossibly fast wheel of cheese that is rolled down the hill a second before the start of the race. A quirky English tradition.

The most beautiful day so far this year...spent almost 5 hours in the sun reading the paper, playing scrabble and picnicing with Anna Maria. We both have sunburns to prove it!

I stopped by Lincoln's Inn Fields on my way home from work today, because although the day was really crappy in terms of weather, the evening has proven to be really nice. Just in time for the journey back from work. Here, a little flower enjoying the sun after a tough day of wind and rain.

Trial run in my new oven: BBC brownies. For some reason, the Brits don't add a lot of chocolate to their brownie recipes...I've got a few things to teach them around here.

This was the most difficult thing to build alone. Our ceilings were too short for me to build this 2.36meter-tall wardrobe on the ground, so i had to build it vertically. Let's hope it doesn't fall apart. It is definitely a possibility.

This is all I have been doing since Friday night. That's one wardrobe, one bookshelf, and two beds. All by myself. I never want to build Ikea furniture ever again. Ah, but I will.

Looking down at my feet on the bus ride home from Julian and Elisa's in Queens Park. Elisa was right--the 23 is a great ride through town. Too bad the front row upstairs leaves so little room for my big feet.

On my walk home from work...the trees in Lincoln's Inn Fields are making me sneeze so much. But at least there are trees, and I get to walk past them every day. The days are getting longer...this was taken at 9pm tonight.

Sorry for the lack of photos...I'm sure everyone is sad (all 2 of you who look at this blog). But I'm back in London, and it has taken me a while to get settled. Before I got to move in to my new apartment, I stayed with Mike and Leigh for a week...and was reunited with my best friend: Truffle the beautiful Bull Mastiff. I love her.
